How it all began... What is now known as the Ramona Animal Society {RAS} started back in 1969 as a small home sheltering operation based on the vision of humane treatment of all animals.  With the inspiration of our founders, RAS built a home at 690 Humane Way in San Jacinto, California in 1994.

The 10 acre site includes a shelter that takes in as many as 600 dogs and 500 cats a month. a low-cost spay and neuter clinic, an after hours receiving facility, a barn-yard area for livestock. and a large duck pond that is home to winter fowl as well as migrating visitors.

Ramona Animal Shelter is a private, non-profit humane society and receives no government funding. All of our humane animal services are made possible through your continued support. Won't you consider joining! http://www.ramonahumanesociety.org/ .
